CLOSER LOOK FILMS was started in 2009 with the goal to create dramatic and emotional films designed to educate children about issues of personal safety and respect to others. Our belief is that you cannot adequately reach all children about serious issues by using animation, puppets and cute, cuddly talking creatures. Children are more mature and intelligent than we as adults sometimes give them credit for being, so Closer Look Films has opted to create films that deliver a powerful message without the use of insensitive or overly and unnecessarily graphic language and imagery.
Closer Look's library includes our regular film series dealing with the emotional effects of school bullying, the bullying connection to youth suicides and athlete hazing. First in the 'Because We Love You' series is a 3 on 1 package that includes a film about child abduction and personal safety measures, a visual tool to teach the importance of wearing bicycle safety helmets and a dramatic recreation of what can go terribly wrong when kids find and then play with discarded guns.
Future film topics include the dangers of texting while supervising young children, how the innocent bystander contributes to schoolyard bullying and fighting, girl bullying and many more topics intended to dramatically and emotionally educate and safe-guard our kids!
